M8,
Your posting this in the wrong forum. Move this into the Computing forum!
PARDON ME
Why move it ?....Im looking for a BARGAIN.....and as agreed with the moderators several days ago....this is not simply a DVD bargain forum .... it is GENERAL bargain forum....and no doubt someone out there will know where I can obtain said bargain.
The forum is for posting bargains, not requesting them :)
Forum description: Found a bargain? Want to tell others? Post ALL your bargains here! Just make sure they're legal!
Basically your supposed to post bargains that you've found, and not bargains that you want;)
OK....seeing as everyone is being slightly pedantic about the whole thing....I found my local Electronic Boutique are selling PS2 plus 3 games for £260...which I think is a bargain, however, can anyone recommend anywhere that will beat taht ? Preferably selling the PS2 ALONE.....
Moving to Supplier Forum :p
MOVING it to the supplier forum...you're having a laugh....
Im asking if anyone can beat this bargain.....
Before I reply I am not having a go mate.
But you are asking for the cheapest SUPPLIER for a PS2.
That's not a bargain mate. It's been widely suggested that the PS2 will dropping in price when the Xbox launches 2 weeks tomorrow.
You could have a look at Gameplay.com but personally speaking I'd go for (and already have) an Xbox. ;)
Point taken mate - thank you for being diplomatic and not pedantic...unlike some of the prats that seem to plague this forum.
And before the prats in concern go and blast me with a vociferous put down.....remember one thing...if you answer this then you are a prat and ahve merely proved my point!
I bid you good day....
and once again thanks ALANOK for being a gentleman and conducting a sensible conversation.

Its alright Celtic... take a deep breath, relax. There that's better. :)
You will still get the answer you are after.
There have been several rumours of a price drop in the PS2 in the coming weeks with the imminent release of both the XBox and Game Cube (some suggestions of a price as low as £140) - I have been thinking about getting a PS2 for a while but I am waiting, and I'm sure it will be worth it, to see what crops up when the new consoles arrive.
£260 isn't a bad price at all with 3 games (if they are good games) and I think right now you will be hard pushed to beat that, but a few weeks down the line you may be able to make a much greater saving. All speculation of course:)

Thats no problem mate but I think they weren't deliberately having a go mate. I think its the fact that when something is typed and read it can very easily be interrupted in the wrong way. Anyway don't let the experience put you off, we're all pretty friendly.
Anyway I would expect the price of the PS2 to come down to £169 to counter the release of the X-Box and The Gamecube. I can't see it coming down to the price of £140, it doesn't make financial sense. The £140 pricepoint would be more in keeping later down the line, maybe closer to Christmas.
thank you Mr Echo and AlanOK...youve restored my faith in human nature....
As for the price drop....end of financila year coming soon etc....so a price drop looks a certainty....Ill keep a close eye on it.
P s- the games were rubbish....

I bought a PS2 w/ 5 games last weekend and Currys were doing this special deal so i managed to get a console MGS2,GTA3, Burnout, Wipeout and Dave Mirra for £298, not too bad methinks.
