Just got this email from Play

After recently seeing Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story on T.V i decided that i would buy it on dvd. So i went on Plays web site. And looked how much it is on region 1 (only have a usa PS2 to play my dvds on so i can't get region 2) It was £17.99. I then looked at the region 2 version. It was £7.99.
I then emailed them asking why there was such a price difference. I got this back

From what we can see there is a difference in the Special Features, which
has made the prices different. We are looking in to it further though.

I then thought to myself there are no differences in the special features

24 seconds cut for cinema release, with a further cut for video. I’ve not seen the film, but it’s most likely scenes showing use of ninja weapons that were removed. The DVD version, however, appears to be less cut compared to the VHS version (although a few cuts still remain). Some shots of nunchukas are now in the film. The BBFC have not listed another version on their site, only the original release with 28 seconds of cuts. All R2/R4 versions have the same version of the film (whichever version that may be!) As of 01/08/00, the BBFC do not show a less-cut version of this film on their website, only the 24s-cut version.

Used to be - not anymore. When you phone you’ll get a recorded message giving you three options. The third puts you straight through to a real live person. I guess they do read these forums after all.
