Are Thurs/Fri working days for a bank?

I make a payment to my credit card from my current account on Wednesday at 8am. 99% of the time, it will have fully gone through the following morning.

If I do the same thing on a Thursday, 100% guaranteed it will not go through until Tuesday at the earliest.

So do banks actually class Thursday and Friday as working days?

Yes!
However, the question to ask is when does the money leave your account if you pay on the Thursday?

It could be down to the processing times that the credit card people utilise.
