I ask as we have no date, no spec. Nothing on these titles.
Are those both just rumours or does anyone have any form of proof of their existence to be?
The last I heard Pulp Fiction was getting an R1 release in June 2002 by Criterion but this could be false (is it?), Does anyone have any more information or links on these 2 titles?
If not I think I will buy the Japanese Goodfellas DVD (for a tenner it can't be bad).
Thank You in advance.
this is something i would like to know as well.
A lot of people have been suggesting that these are in the works and so far there's been absolutely nothing official on them.
Of course i hope that they ARE coming but until something official is stated im not going to get my hopes up.
As for the Japanese Goodfellas, according to cdjapan it is double sided - single layer which leads me to assume that its the same version as the one currently available over here. So you'd be better off buying the one over here for £7.99 from play rather than importing it if this is the case.

I too am not getting my hopes up, although I personally reckon Pulp Fiction is coming, as for Goodfellas I'm not convinced.
As for the Japanese DVD you are right it now appears to be a flipper, although this is very strange as 3-7 days ago I posted on BnB stating the opposite.
I guess CD Japan must of changed their minds as it definitely said single sided a few days ago.
I guess my video will have to do for a while longer.

Buena Vista UK have Pulp Fiction R2 down on their release schedule for a re-issue on 3rd June. In light of how they have been reissuing their DVDs with extra features then this version might be some sort of special edition. The schedule doesn't say anything about extras though and the date might well change, but at least you know something is happening.<p>Also on the same date they are re-issuing Jackie Brown, but no details about extra features though.

This is definately coming sometime this year from what I heard
Goodfellas SE is on the way this year. This was confirmed in October when several Warner VP's took part in a webchat at Home Theater Forum. They said Goodfellas will be released in 2002 and they want Scorsese to participate in the release.

Thanks - johntchance, mr_woo, john316 and iaind.
Thanks iaind for the links. Goodfellas SE and Mean Streets SE, cool :)
Johntchance do you have a link for your findings?. I too heard BV UK were bringing out Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown and I also heard Leon was getting a re-release.
I just hope they don't re-release Pulp Fiction & Jackie Brown like they did for Face Off, The Rock, Con Air and Air Force One. With only a few extras. Both deserve the 2 disc treatment (especially Pulp Fiction).

The Digital Bits website yesterday backed up that assertion, although they do say before the end of the year. No definite dates given as yet.
I was looking on a Korean R3 DVD website, and apparently Pulp Fiction is available as a 2 disc set!
Can anyone tell me more about this release?
My mate works at Warner Records and has seen Goodfellas S.E on the release list for late 2002. Fingers crossed.

The schedule's not on the net, they just send out A4 sheets with all the dates of their releases on it. The Rock deluxe version is also down for release on June 3rd.

Although it isn't really much better than the R4 (it is on 2 discs though so should be better quality, in theory).

Cool, Thanks
I am most interested in the picture quality as the Region 4 is supposed to be not very good.
