Itunes9 Why Can't I sync individual albums?

It tells me to just drag & drop individual albums onto my iPhone, but when I click on the album and drag it over my phone I just has a big red circle with a line through it. Is it becasue they arent albums bought through iTunes and ripped MP3's from my collection

Have you got "Manually manage music" ticked in iTunes when you select your iPhone? You need to if not in order to drag and drop I think. Alternatively you can set up playlists for albums and sync just those, but it's probably more of a faff.

iTunes is the devils work you just have to learn to tolerate it...

Easiest thing to do would be create a playlist of songs you want on your iphone, and set that to sync.

Create an "iphone" playlist. Drag albums to that, set iTunes to automatically sync that playlist to your iPhone.

Voila.
