Thanks. But seriously - what possessed Sky to start putting new eps on in that timeslot? :cuckoo:
Thanks for the heads up. If you season link the new season will it record just S21 or all episodes of the simpsons Sky 1 show??
It seems the new one's I linked last weeks and it's recorded one other that was related to the 20th anniversary but the next one is on Thursday and it's a new one.
wasn't at all impressed with last weeks Everyman episode.
Don't know what pace I'm watching at, but just watched 'Bob next door' and really enjoyed it.
Am I the only one glad that finally Bart gets to (somewhat) foil Bob this time around, since despite Bob having his 'vendetta' against Bart, ever since season 6 (Sideshow Bob Roberts), it has been Lisa who has done most of the foiling.
Reports are floating around that Fox are waving their axe about in a threatening way demanding a 45% pay cut from the cast:

About time, should have been canned after about 9 years.
I feel sorry for the actors though, Fox has them by the nuts. They don't need them any more, they can make plenty of money on repeats (aka syndication rights) and DVD sales. They've got so many episodes now that they can go on perpetually. I see the actors are willing to accept a 30% cut and a slice of the profits but Fox aren't interested and from a business perspective it makes sense. The money they'd make on new episodes is likely to be small.

Is it really likely to be that small on new episodes? I imagine they must sell each episode around the world and I have a feeling that Ch4 pay something like a million quid an episode or something. So surely a massive cash cow for FOX regardless of how poor it is or even if anyone in the USA watch it at all.
I think in some cases, FOX do have the cast by the balls. Taking a look at Nancy Cartwright on IMDB for example, she does a bit of voice acting work but doesn't have anything that'll bring in the green like the Simpsons. If I recall previously when the actors were holding out for more money, she broke ranks and signed a deal for that very reason.
She probably doesn't need the money anymore, but even so. Its still a steady income for her, even with a large pay cut.
