As suggested by Ono, I'm going to revive one of the tourneys from the PC PES days.

Teams

There will be 2 team captains - the top 2 players in the premiership this season (that's if they sign up!).

They will each be allocated a group of players, again based on finishing position ie Team 1 will be 1,3,5,7,9 in the premiership etc (carrying on through all divisions) and Team 2 will be 2.4.6.8 blah blah blah.

The winner of a coin toss carried out by me :D, will decide which Captain picks a team first. This can be any club team.

Matches

Singles

2 Round of singles will be played with 1 pt allocated for a win & 0.5 for a draw.

The team captains will decide who the team members play from the opposition.

ie Suppose captain 1 loses the toss, he will get to decide first, so he would have to provide me with a list of fixtures stating who he want each team member to play from the opposition. This will be round 1.

The other team captain will then do the same, but the matches must be against different opposition.


Team

Once the singles are complete, we'll finish off with a team match (BAP). I don't expect we will get 22 players online together, but if we could get 5 or 6 players on each side it would be good.

The actual result from this game will be added to the total. So the tourney outcome could revolve around this game.

This will kick off after the season ends and finish before the new one starts.
It shouldn't take more than 2 weeks.

Argh, this is a tough one.

I think its clear we have the stronger team on paper, so I thought it would be good to choose a slightly lesser team to help balance it all out, when I say lesser, I mean like Juventus, who are awesome once you have changed a few players round. But i reckon everyone will just be ****** off at that, it just seems so boring going with the suspected Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter etc.

What i'd really like to know is how you keep your defenders back as you managed to run through my defence so many times.
I use my custom formation which has the defence sitting as deep as possible, and all on high defence attitudes. I also make sure not to do 1-2 passes with any of my defenders or else they'll come forward. Also make sure the tactics get to them to sit deep and not overly aggressive at running towards the ball possesser. Those things seem to work (most of the time).

Another thing I do is use custom corners and put more defenders back, because otherwise the game automatically dumps 3 of your 4 defenders up for the corner, and any resulting breakaways from corners often can be deadly.

JaminTastic 1 - 1 Kalzinio

A good, often tense game this one was. I was creating chance after chance first half and just could not score. Iaquinta missed quite a few, and Del Piero ineffective for large parts. The second half Kal bossed and scored a nice goal from Drogba beating the offside trap and slotting home. I piled on the pressure last 20 minutes and scored thanks to a Cech fumble with Iaquinta tapping home the rebound. I pushed for a winner but couldn't manage it.

I realised at the end of the game as I went all out attack that I was already on "defensive" attitude. Oh dear, lol, was wondering why I had no support upfront for my rubbish strikers, lol.

Good games as ever though mate, you played some lovely stuff yourself and a draw was a fair result with my abject finishing! Cheers :thumbs:

Cheers mate, good game. I hate those goals that go in after a frantic scramble pressing the shoot button to try and clear!

Tight game and Drogba just couldn't bulldoze through your defence in the end. :) I felt that everytime I go forward that you'd hit me on the break so had to be wary of that too!

I think we should play 2 games personally, and switch it all around the second game to give everyone a chance where they want to play. It will also make it fairer and be quite good for the managers to have to work out who to play where in each game.

Once the singles are complete, we'll finish off with a team match (BAP). I don't expect we will get 22 players online together, but if we could get 5 or 6 players on each side it would be good.

The actual result from this game will be added to the total. So the tourney outcome could revolve around this game.

This will kick off after the season ends and finish before the new one starts.
It shouldn't take more than 2 weeks.

It will come down to the final match, no matter what happens in the remaining singles.
