Where do you put your centre speaker?

With my JVC TV there is not room in the TV stand below the TV to fit my centre speaker and it is too big to put it on top of the TV. I have seen some other centre speakers (Mission M7c1) that look quite slimline and would look better on a TV. Has anybody got one of these speakers on top of their TV and how are they mounted on the TV?

on a shelf just above/behind the TV. No space in the cabinet and looks funny on top of the TV.

M7C1 on top of the TV. Looks good, sounds great!

I do not have the dimensions to hand but it does not look good on top of the TV and it is larger than the flat surface on the top of the TV, so it does not seem very stable. If you put your speaker on top of the TV do you use anything to fix it or prevent vibration to improve the sound quality?

Ideally it should be just below the TV if that is at the right height for optimal viewing. Just above is the next best thing, but this depends a lot on the TV - a lot of them nowadays have got sloping tops that don't allow a centre speaker at all which is a shame. Shelving is a good idea to get around this problem, but make sure that the shelf is as close to the top of the speaker as possible and that the centre comes as forward as you side speakers, preferably further and if at all possible up to the 'front' of the TV.

At 17kg's vibration is not a problem. :D

yeh, shouldn't really need any "attachments" due to weight but a little blutak won't do any harm.
