View Full Version : Any diffrences between R1 of AI to R2?

HI, i'm new to this forum.

I was wondering if anyone could help me, is there any diffrences between AI on either r1 are r2?

There doesnt appear to be any diffrences except the region1 has 'special editon' put on it?

If I have my facts correct the R1 has a few slight differences. It has a DTS soundtrack whereas the R2 has a Dolby Digital EX. And the R1 is in a double Amaray or some sort of plastic case (not got mine yet from Ring0s) and the R2 is in a cardboard digipack.

So the region 1 disc comes in a better plastic box liek most dvds, while the region2 disc comes ina ****** carboard case (liek matrix?)

Well just got in and found A.I. R1 waiting for me and yes the R1 comes in a double amaray plastic case. I think the R2 comes in the imo okay cardboard case. You might find mo info in the dvd discussion forum. The reason I went for R1 is because it has a DTS track.

Sorry to differ Sandman but I love the ****** carboard cases as you put it.

They look really cool and also look good on my shelve. It is a pity as I would prefer this case and DTS.

You can't have everything, the R1 wins wins of course.

I've only heard one member say the r2 had dts, but no confirmation from anyone/where else.

The r2 is in a digipack case (like fightclub) and the r1 is in an 'amaray like' case but the second disc is in a round holder so both discs are facing each other (like the r4 armageddon SE but same thickness as an amaray)

A.I. region 2 will be in amaray cases for video shops so if you wan't one check blockbusters exrentals.
or get someone you know who works in one to get it at cost:)
