inkjet printers .. any recommendations

My trusty Epson 600 has just breathed its' last breath and i need to replace it asap. I am stuck as to what to go for , i use it for mainly stationary and the like, but i have just bought a rather nice diggy camera so would like to prinet off some high quality shots too. I have been looming at the Epson c70 , c80 but the replacement carts seem ££££

any suggestions gratefully received

I have had 3 Epsons, I used to love them, but sorry the last one was cr@p. It used to clean it's heads times more than I wash my hair and ended up costing much more than it's value in cartridges.

I recently broke my religion and bought an HP 940C, it's simple to use, doesn't drink like an inkaholic. The print quality is better than my Epson, and I just wish I hadn't wasted my money last year and bought this instead of a £70 Epson that cost £150 in ink, even using compatable cartridges.

Canon inkjets have separate ink tanks for each colour, so you only have to replace the one that has run out...
