Good chance of further Tomorrow People releases!!

The audio commentaries on the first release this week were produced by a company called Big Finish who have also been producing Tomorrow People audio dramas recently.

I've just had an email back from Big Finish to say they have already done commentaries for another three volumes of DVD releases!!!

I'll see if I can get confirmation of which stories that is but I'm guessing:

Vol.2 The Medusa Strain (four parts)
Vol.3 The Vanishing Earth (four parts)
Vol.4 The Blue & The Green (five parts)

Blue & the Green is a classic. Let’s not kid anyone that the majority of The Tomorrow People shows stand up as anything other than pure nostalgia but even just on that level they’re as good as a time machine.

Nice to see them doing these releases right and not just throwing them out in, say, the way that the two Doomwatch discs were - high priced and featureless with poor transfers and seemingly no interest in issuing further volumes. For that reason alone we should applaud the people responsible for TP as it is an excellent template to use for the release of archive TV.

Love to see Sapphire & Steel get these kinds of releases with commentaries from surviving cast & crew.

S&S was announced recently for R2 but we'll have to wait and see what sort of quality it'll be.
