Does the R1 have anything over the R2
I heard there were some subtitle problems poping up etc.

The R1 has the original mono track as well as 5.1.

The original release had a problem with subbies on some Toshibas. This was fixed in a rerelease, but at the expense of being able to change subbies on the fly.

Turned out it affected a LOT more machines than just Toshibas and apparently there's still a ton of "broken" discs out there...

Does anyone with the R2 version know if the "Monti Python ont de Holi Grailen" Sweedish subtitle appears on the R2 disc?

Wow Storm, thanks for the info... I think the R1 Python-fans would be really ****** if they knew we got that extra subtitle! :)
