is using a new jasper power brick with a refurbed 1st gen 360 a no-no?

it's a question of convenience for those that are curious as to why.

I don't think the plug will even fit in the hole

Works other way round - 1st PSU on later revisions - but it doesn't even fit as mentioned.

It does if you knock the plastic pin in the middle out. I did so when I bought a new one, for convenience sake. Hasn't blown up (yet)
