Just seen this on the MT website:

********* USA is proud to announce that we have formed an exclusive partnership with Daniel and the staff @ Dvdcrave - Australia's Premier DVD Retailer, to give you a wider selection, cheaper prices & faster delivery times on R4 product.

This now means that soon Dvdcrave.com will be able to take payment via UK Switch & Solo debit cards through their new partnership with ********* USA and any defective returns etc can be sent back to our/their UK mailing address.

All R4 products featured here shall now be billed/shipped direct from Australia to your door.

We all look forward to serving you the best of what DVD has to offer from around the world!

Interesting stuff indeed!

It might be, but if a supplier does something that im not happy with, then I have the right to take my custom elsewhere.

If I read this right it only effects MT customers and will have no effect on any existing Dvdcrave people.

Have I got that right or have I missed something?

This unlikely as if they do this they will not be competitive with the other R4 e-tailers and Aussie customers (as well as us) will stop using them.

I used Chaos Music a long time ago (a couple of years) and they were pretty tardy (about a month) as the items (Pulp Fiction,Jackie Brown and True Romance) were all out of stock - odd as they were fairly mainstream titles. Still they did work out at about 8 quid each

I'm also unsure why this announcement has should alter dvdcrave's prices - surely Daniel won't want to loose sales through his site.

Seems to be born out by the statement below from the MT site.

DVD Crave will continue the same pricing structure as always, nothing will change to their service, they will just now be able to offer product to a wider customer base in the UK.

Still as dtsrules says, it's the consumers right to choose where they shop :)

presumably because of the rules surrounding craig and *********, he just wrote to me:

Hi,

Just to disperse any concerns that you may have DVD Crave will not be changing their pricing, everything will remain
as it is.

The main benefit will be to UK customers that wish to purchase product from DVD Crave and pay by UK cheques,
postal orders, Switch/Solo or Visa Electron cards.

Hope this makes things alittle clearer.

regards

Craig

makes sense to me :)

I presume this will work both ways and give people down under a way of buying R2/R1 through DVDCrave and MT?

Any idea if this will affect DVDCrave sponsorship of the forums?
