[360] FIFA 10 Season 2. Teams in 1st Post. Season Ends 22/12.

Rules

1. Matches are to be played on a home and away basis. I suggest these are played in the same session one after the other to keep the league moving at a decent pace.

2. The setting for the matches are :-

6 minute halves

3. The bottom 3 teams in the division will be relegated. The top 3 promoted.

4. If a player drops out of the league, his results will be removed from the records.

5. Disconnections - If the match disconnects:-

0 - 15 mins - restart with the scores reset
15 - 45 mins - restart with the scores of the 2 games combined.
45 - 70 mins - the 2nd half host restarts, with the game ending at half time. The scores of the 2 games are combined.
70 - 90 mins -The 2nd half hosts restarts a 5 minute game which will end at half time. The scores of the 2 games are added together.

6. Results should be posted in the thread as soon as possible after playing the matches. Post offical results in BOLD.

7. Any player who doesn't play within the published deadlines will be removed and banned from the following season. If a player gets removed in a second season, they will receive a lifetime ban.

8. Lag – If you experience lag in the first half of the match, you must disconnect within the first 10 minutes of playing time. Any goals scored in these 10 mins will not count, when the match is restarted.

9. Matches should be arranged either in the season thread or by using the messenger system on the 360.

10. And most importantly.........NO BITCHING

10 match deadline - 8th December
15 match deadline - 15th December
Season End - 22nd December

IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED AT LEAST 7 MATCHES BY THE FIRST DEADLINE, YOU WILL BE REMOVED. NO WARNINGS.

ANYBODY ELSE WHO DOESN'T MEET THE DEADLINE MUST CATCH UP BY THE 2ND DEADLINE OR AGAIN, YOU WILL BE REMOVED

Sorry Mate, no to Fulham, but Deportivo are OK.

Fulham were one on the better 4 stars teams, which weren't used in the initial draw, so it wouldn't be fair if i allowed them to be used now.

Maybe so pal, but a) I doubt I'll be able to do the double over you again, and b) I *always* drop points against the other guys - and that's even more going to be the case this season as the Championship is looking very strong. Anyways, I shall give it a go nonetheless. It'll be interesting :)

Cheers for the games last night guys in the Prem. All 3 sets of games for me were almost a carbon copy of each other. Good passing and play in the first games but fell apart in the second games - so frustrating! Getafe have got some decent players going forward but defenders seem unable to hold off anyone attacking the goal. There were times that I wanted to use the hack but I would have probably lost all my defenders as strikers got through every time!

Good games though and well played all!

Well played mate. Deportivo are hopeless :lol: I wish I had never picked them now. Kenywne Jones was just far too good - impossible to get off the ball.

What a night. Absolutely dead and buried before I'd had a shot in the 1st game. My keeper didn't make his first save until it was 6-0 :oh-hum: I just had nothing to compete with the Schalke forward line, especially the muscle of Kuranyi. Changed formation at half time and it stemmed the flow and laid the foundation for a win in the 2nd game, although once again the forwards were buzzing all over the place.

Kept the new formation for the games against CSS and managed to knock the ball about quite well without too much reward in the 1st game so it was always tight. 2nd game I got a quick 3 goal lead and it was pretty much game over.

Not much going on in the first, apart from a disconnect in the 2nd half. Second game was pretty tight at 1-0, until a mad 3 minutes at the end of the 1st half when Farfan somehow managed to score a hat-trick. John then mounted a Burnley-esque comeback late in the 2nd half :)

games played last night. the win i got off to a flyer and never looked back, the draw was a much tighter affair....with ghoul defended for his life throughout, hit my on the counter and looked dangerous on other occasions, he managed to nick 1-0 up and i was pushing hard for the equaliser whehn it eventuall came from a goalie howler.

disappointed with my performace in the draw passing never got going at all...psg aint the best though to be honest...going to struggle against the stronger teams.

Not sure about that. Olympiakos' (my) finishing has been terrible, luckily I'm creating 10 times as many chances as I'm scoring :) That draw against John Kirk might've screwed things up though, I passed it straight to him from a goal kick when I was trying to skip the replay. I'd be level with you if it weren't for that :brickwall

Well, really bad day at the office for Scott. West Ham were ***** to be honest, out paced and muscled everytime, I think Scott gave up completely after my 3rd goal in the first game (which was a dodgy pen), and even in the 2nd game you could tell he had no belief.

Stevie, I really think West Ham should be removed, as they seemed seriously bad compared to 1899 Hoff, I dunno if Scott can switch his team for someone else higher up the list or something? But I doubt he has anychance of doing anything with those guys!

Yeah it is me with West Ham, i'm loving it though, gotta admit the defence isn't the best but once you play the ball up the park its fine especially if you switch out Jimilez for Ashton, its like having two brick walls up front :clap:

Last season i had Marseille who i struggled with but been enjoying it with West Ham, played some friendlies with unrealnils with our league teams and i managed to score with Cole from about 30yards or so drilled into the roof of the net, i got no complaints!

I think it's all down to personal choice for a team, I had Tottenham last season and though I did alright in the league I really did miss having a big bulky striker up top (Crouch was rubbish).

First game against gookin I couldn't really get control of the ball and every rebound seemed to be going to him. After going a goal down I was pleased to pull it back level but couldn't respond after he got the second. Second game was the opposite with all the rebounds going my way and my strikers were on fire. I think I only had 6 shots on target and scored 5 of them :eek:

Against greatful ghoul we had to abandon the first game at 0-0 at half time as I think I must have somehow set manual to passing as neither of us could pass the ball to our own players :lol: Once we restarted with auto passing it was much more fun and we shared six goals in a thrilling game. Second game I had the rub of the green and won fairly comfortably.

Two close games. Couldn't get anything on target in the 1st 2/3rds of the game and every time I broke forward i'd shoot it'd hit the post, be parried etc and Neil piled forward and score - and did this 3 times. Was furious. Last 3rd of the game I kept breaking forward and managed to grab a couple of late goals and had a chance in the last min off a few corners but failed to grab an unlikely equalizer.

Second game, was a mirror of the 1st really but the other way around!

Sorry Pal, I had a bit of an emergency and had to leave the controler with the missus for a few minutes whilst I appeased my little girl. Suprised the missus kept the score down I think I was 4 or 5 nil down when I got back. I was already **** off with your opening goal which went staright through the keeper along the deck from a tight angle, a bit like the first goal in the other game which went through him again and shot up into the top corner when he tried his best Peter Schmeical impersonation.

Well played though, i think might take some stopping this season. If my keeper carries on like hes doing ill be relegated for sure. Shame we cant make transfers.

First game against smiller I felt a bit hard done by. I had quite a few chances before he scored the opener and then equalised just before half time. Second half he scored two early goals and although I got one back with 10 minutes to go I couldn't get an equalised. Second game I expect he felt a bit hard done by as he was the better team. Olympiakos scored what looked like the winner on 79 mins but I equalised on 82 and got the winner in injury time.

Against rryan my finishing was poor in the first game but once I took the lead I thought I could win. Unfortunately a freak own goal gave West Ham the equaliser. Second game my strikers were on fire. I took an early lead and then with almost my next attack, rryan brought his keeper racing out of the area and my chip just trickled into the goal. That pretty much ended the game although it looked like West Ham might mount a come back when they pulled it back to 3-1 and then had a couple of other good chances before I got my 4th.

It baffles me as well, I didn't change anything for the second game - it was like when playing Lounge Mode, and one team picks the +x% for their team and the -x% for the other. My defensive AI just got stuck in the mud, Jones and Bent scored with every shot or got the rebound as my defenders were nowhere to be seen.

Bizarre mate, you seemed wide open at the back in the 2nd game but I couldn't break through 1st game at all I just assumed you'd changed formation. I really thought I'd be up against it after the first game too, and historically I always find you a tough opponent, so a win and a draw suits me. :)

First game was exciting indeed - lovely worked goals yours were, whereas mine seemed to be more rebounds, etc. Second game - even tho it was raining my passing game just suddenly clicked. Weird. You just have to throw your hands up and say this is just what FIFA 10 is like I guess! Well played too pal, am sure our paths will cross again soon. :thumbs:
