Hi,

Can anyone help me? I'm looking for a European R1 supplier who gets their stock from the USA, not from Canada.

More and more Canadian dvds differ from the USA releases and i'm tired of getting nasty surprises.

If i'm not mistaken, DC-DVD gets their stock from the USA, but they are a bit pricey.

Does anyone have any alternatives?

If i have to order directly from the USA, which store do you recommend. I've used DvdEmpire before and Express. DvdEmpire shipping rates are very high and they don't replace lost orders. So it's almost forbidden. Express shipping rates are half the price of DvdEmpire, but how is their service now? I haven't used them since they went belly-up sometime ago. Anyone used them recently?

Thanks for your help,

Cheers, Wolverine

I've never had a problem with Can disc over U.S. disc's infact there's more higher spec discs from Canada than vice versa.

ditto. I presumed most places choose the Canadian or US one based on the better specs. Canadian discs are often better.

Nearly all mainstream release have identical releases in Canada but with 2 main exceptions - they nearly always carry a French track and use slightly inferior Inlay covers compared to the US editions.

Nearly all DVD retailers use Canadian suppliers now because of the cheaper disc prices so unless one of the online stores mention it - expect Canadian editions
