Has anyone picked up a copy of the Relic today and had a chance to watch it? According to DVD Compare it's ratio is 1.78:1 instead of the original 2.35:1, can anyone tell me if this is the case?

Is this out on R2 now? I hope they did a new transfer as the R1 one is meant to be diabolical.
the R2 came out today however the only features is a theatrical tailer

I ordered an R2 copy from Europe a few months ago and the UK release should be the same disc, it's from Universal.
Yes, it's 2.35:1 and the picture is ok, better than the R1 copy but far from demo material. The problem appears to be the film itself, most of which takes place in a dark, gloomy museum.
