Hi all,

I have recently purchased a new tv ( JVC AV28WFT1EKS ) that seemed to be highly recommended on this previous thread (http://thedvdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=47335)

Now I am really happy with the set but have recently noticed that there is sometimes a shadow of objects or people on the screen. At the very worst when you watch a football match it would be like watching 4 teams playing at once.

Normally it is only just slightly off set from the original person / object and over laps.

What is most likely to be causong this? The way the TV is set up?

Any advice & tips greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Rabbi. :D

Usually down to having poorly shielded cables, are any of your cables tangled up? Are you watching thru a scart and also have an rf connection? Theree are lots of things that could cause the problem.

Thanks for the replies. Not too sure about the aerial. TV is in my G/f's flat and had the same problem on her old set before I got this one.

This only happens when watching TV but not DVD or video

The cables have been run through some plastic tracking which now houses the speaker cables for the surround sound system.

It must be said that the cable management is pretty bad but the space is fairly limited as it is only a small living room compared to the space which I had in my house.

Will have a play around with the cables and see what can be done.

Thanks.

dude, i would guess your aerial is of the loft variety rather than on the roof right? sounds like your ghost is coming from the signal reflecting internally on your roof - messing with the cables wont fix it unfortunately, but shifting the aerial might :)

Yep - it's ghosting. Caused by the aerial picking up reflected signals (slightly time delayed on the original). Your aerial needs moving.
