After having my Digibox for 4 years, it started to play up, freezing and stuff like that.
Finally managed to get sky to replace it FOC, after threatening to cancel
The engineer came round yesterday and replaced it for me, all fine and dandy. However went to bed last night, with the intentions of watching the Green Mile. Remote control would not work on the upstairs "Mouse" thingy.
I can watch sky, but cannot change channel, the extra remote does work downstairs on the receiver though.
Whats happened ? All the leads are in place as far as i can tell
Anyone shed any light ?
Cheers
Stu
You need to turn on the power from the digibox to the TV link.
To do this:
Press Services, 4, 0, 1, select. You should then get the 'installers menu'. Go to the option that mentions RF outputs and turn on the power on RF2. Save the settings and Roberts your fathers brother.
BTW, this really should be in the Home Cinema hardware forum...

sorry
maybe it is in the wrong forum
However if i go to services, then press 4 i have no option for menu 0, if this is hidden it still will not allow me to access it
Seems though it has been locked
Any further help ?
cheers
Stu
It is a hidden menu.
Just don't look at the screen.
Press Services, 4, 0, 1, select and it will appear. Trust me!
Moving to DVD and Home Cinema Hardware Forum :)

Errr it won't mate i've tried
Press services and 4 then if i press 0 i just get a flash of red light on both remote and receiver, but the page does not change
Stu
I shall say this one more time....
DO NOT LOOK AT THE SCREEN UNTIL YOU HAVE FINISHED PRESSING THE BUTTONS!
Press services, 4, 0, 1, select.
Nothing will happen after pressing the 4 until all the buttons have been pressed. Then the installers menu will appear!
Please see the sky digital FAQ for confirmation:

Sorry old lad i now catch yer drift
However, upon finding the installers menu, the power to RF 2 is already on !!
Still dunna work though
Stu
OK, a few questions to ask then...
Are you using a sky tv link or some other type of video sender?
Are you sure that RF1 and RF2 are the right way around (RF2 should be going to the TV thats 'far away')?
Is it just one single piece of coax cable running from the digibox to the tv link? (any joins, splits etc will stop it working)
If all of the above are ok then try plugging the TV link into the back of the digibox directly onto RF2. See if the led lights up and if it sends remote commands onto the digibox. If not, then its broke.
