National Trust photo competition

Just enter a pic taken at a National Trust owned property.
Competition is called "Time Well Spent" and Subject matter is "People and Places".

I've entered a couple of pictures of Tarn Hows in the Lake District. Not the best pics I've ever taken but I don't have many pics taken at the National Trust. Tarn Hows does stand out though because of the very blue colour of the water. You don't need polarisers or other filters to make the best of the image.

Dont they have an appaling record of gopyright grabbing when doing this sort of thing.

Be wary of what you're giving away by entering, actually looking at this one it's a five year non exclusive licence to the image. Suppose thats not too bad.

Cheers, I entered. Mine wasn't actually in a National Trust location, its outside but its a picture of a National Trust Location.

Given their awful record of restrictive practices regarding photography and the rights grabs of photos entered in competitions as Paul mentioned, I'm not sure I'd want to take part to be honest. They look after some fantastic places but I really don't like the organisation at all.

Like I said, not one of my best but it's a beautiful place and I'd recommend it to anybody holidaying up in the lake district.
