Man, where to start!! :) :)
I'm a huaoge Samo Hung fan so there's a good place:

Great Samo films on DVD:

Magnificent Butcher (HKL, R2) (Samo & yuen wo ping)
The Victim (Eastern Heroes, R0 but UK disc)
Encounters of A Spooky Kind (HKL R2)
Warriors Two (Chinese DVD, but HKL should be releasing it eventually! :) )
Iron Fisted Monk (HKL, R2)
Odd Couple (Mei Ah R0, HK DVD) (Samo & Lau Kar leung)
The Prodigal Son (HKL DVD out in a few months :) )

Ok, i personally think Samo Hung is the greatest Action director & choreographer in HK film history & those films above have some of the most sublime fight scenes i've ever seen!

Lau Kar leung is another name to look out for in the action direction stakes! I haven't seen many of his films, but what i have seen is exceptional!!

BTW bazkeane the majority of the top20 are available on DVD! but some of them are only available in a **** poor state! :(

i'll pick a film or two for you to go with each of the ones you already have :D

CTHD --- Once Upon A Time In China or Iron Monkey
Drunken Master --- Drunken Master 2 aka Legend of Drunken Master (on R1 DVD) or Snake in the Eagles Shadow
Enter the Dragon --- Fist of Fury
Shaolin Soccer --- The God of Cookery or From Beijing With Love (neither are martial arts though, just more Stephen Chow genius)
Police Story --- Police Story 2 (March 25th release from HKL)
Dragon: Bruce Lee Story --- Game of Death Platinum Edition

I'll second all of Shingster's choices, but recommend you start off with the HKL stuff...

Definately second Iron Monkey and the OUATIC series - simply amazing martials arts action in them!

Looking forward to seeing Police Story 2 - is it actually as good as the first one?

Police Story 2 is easily as good as the original, probably better in the action stakes (IMO).

Mr Stanton would say the best Kung fu films start with are Iron Monkey and The first three Once apon a time in China films.

If you like them then there's hundreds of quality chop socky flics to chose from.

Here are the confirmed HKL releases for the next few months...

Today/25th Feb:

Red Wolf
Police Assassins

March 25th:

Police Story 2
Ninja in the Dragons Den

April 8th: Mr. Vampire

April 22nd: Naked Killer

13th May: The Scorpion King aka Operation Scorpio

27th May: Zu: Warriors from the Magic Mountain

HKL used to have a Coming Soon section with what to expect for the rest of the year, unfortunately I can't remember all of it but this is what I do recall...

Project A 1&2, Prodigal Son, Young Master, Story of Ricky, My Lucky Stars, Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Stars (that could be wrong).

I'm sure some others will help me out with that list :)

The Killer is strongly rumoured to be hitting this year as well :)

Thanks Kanedaa, the killer is one I am looking forward to, I've got the one that was released after MI2 with Hard Boiled, but would love to get a really good print of this.

Get Fist of Fury

It has to be (imo) one of greatest martial arts films of all time. My fav bruce lee film and the most complete all round of his films eg directed choreography and the legend at his best bettered only by the newly discovered sceneces added into game of death. G.O.D is worth getting just for these fight scenes as the rest of the film is pap.

I would also reccomend these films in no particualr order

Iron monkey
OUATIC series
Fong Sai Yuk 1+2
Drunken Master 1+2
Snake In The Eagles Shadow
The Storm Riders
Swordsman 2
The Tai Chi Master
All of Bruce Lee's Movies (G.O.D, the big boss, enter the dragon, fist of fury and way of the dragon)

Hope this Helps

I'll be updating most of that poll later today Baz. I opened the polls up at the KFCC forum & got a few more votes in for each film. :) Subsequently there's a been a few changes to the ranking in each list, and more titles have been added!

Sammo Hung easily makes some of the best action movies in the world never mind just Hong Kong.

If your starting out then the only place is Bruce Lee, I suggest Fist of Fury, Way of the Dragon and Enter the Dragon.

From there you should check out Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung movies. For Jackie start with Drunken Master 1 & 2, Snake in the Eagles Shadow, the Police Story trilogy, Project A and Dragons Forever. For Sammo check out Pedicab Driver, Warriors Two, The Prodigal Son, Eastern Condors and also Project A and Dragons Forever. Also any of the Shingster recommendations.

From them you will want to go to the more modern guys, Jet Li and Donny Yen. For these the Once Upon a Time in China series and Iron Monkey movies are the top of the class. Also check out Tai Chi Master and Fist of Legend. I personally dislike these movies, but I think I'm in the minority.

If your looking for some comedy/horror/kung fu then you'll want to check out the Sammo work of Encounters of the Spooky Kind 1 & 2 and the soon to be re-released Mr. Vampire You should get these anyway.

Just realised that I've listed some movies you already own, well just don't buy them twice! Also get the Hong Kong Legends versions whereever possible.

I reccomend Spooky Encounters and Mr.Vampire (and all the Mr.Vampire and spooky encounters) they are pure fun, Samo is great in the first one (and the rest).

been waiting for Mr.Vamp for ages, thought about getting the R3 but i want a remastered version :D .

JUST WANT Spooky Encounters 2, and magic cop.....

i borrowed Magic cop on video a few weeks ago, AVOID LIKE THE PLAUGE the subs are transparant.
