I'll second that & add Chicago Hope as one that I'd like to see.
The ones I would like to see:-
Michael Manns excellent Crime Story The complete series not just the pilot episode :(
Sledge Hammer brilliantly funny take off of Hunter again the full series would be nice.
Children of the Stones Scary kids television series got the vhs but the DVD would be nice with as a extra music/soundeffects score only to scare the c**p out of me :) .

B5 inc Crusade- although I think that is one its way, please be widescreen
Red Dwarf - again due sometime, please have both versions using seamless branching
Blakes 7 - No news of a release
Police Squad - Surprised this is not out
Sharpe - Only the first one has been released
Mr Bean - bits available in R4 but seems to have been pulled from VHS
Also
re-issue Stargate as a boxset like R1
No doubt I will think of loads others once I've posted this
I would like to see 'The Pretender' released onto DVD.
i'd like old comedy tv.
murphy brown

The original C4 series of 'Vic Reeves Big Night Out'
I'd like to see the following:
Private Schulz
Secret Army
Colditz
Auf Wiedersehn Pet (a properly restored release, not the upcoming bodge job)
Dark Angel (outside of Japan - talk of R4 rental release soon)
E.R.
Alias
Scrubs
Enterprise (in widescreen)
Dad's Army (in full)
CrazyHorse
24-02-2002, 21:41
American Gothic
Police Squad (funnier than the films, imo!)
Tutti Frutti
Another vote here for:

Plus I want:
SOAP
The Cleopatras (70's BBC mini-series)
James Clavels' Shogun
The Water Margin
The two Dominic Hyde plays
The Day of the Triffids
Brave New World
The Martian Chronicles
And now that we have Roots on R1 and soon on R4 I'm hoping for Roots: The Next Generations that takes the story upto the 70's. I've just got the VHS out of the local Library and started watching it this afternoon.
bengray, you might already know but I, Claudius is out on R1, I've got a copy on its way. Although it apparetly has a minor cut.
Having only recently seen Thirteen Days I went straight out and ordered Kennedy, the 80's mini series starring Martin Sheen covering JFK's time in office.

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century (Gil Gerard version)
The Lost World (currently showing season 3 on the Sci-Fi channel - worth seeing for Jennifer O'Dell alone:))
Yes Minister/Prime Minister (only first season out so far)

TV series make up most of what I buy these days; not including further series of current releases:
Dad's Army (not a best of compilation, but in the correct order)
The Sweeney (as above)
Catweazle
The Invaders
Red Dwarf
Lovejoy
Dark Skies
Fireball XL5
Secret Service
Supercar (all 3 Sumpermarionations surely on the way in '03)
The Lone Gunmen

A complete Eerie Indiana series box set would be the coolest thing ever. Only the first series though, not that "Other Dimension" guff.
Oh, and series box sets of the Sweeney would be rather special too.

The Nightmare Man (excellent Robert Holmes scripted thriller from the early eigthies. This had me hiding behind the sofa when I watched it originally. Never seen it since. Apparently there is a chance that it may be released).
The Day of the Triffids (the superior BBC series which is so much better than the Howard Keel film. Apparently rights issues are preventing this from being released, the same reason why it was never issued on VHS. Sort it out BBC and get it out now).
American Gothic (Gary Cole is superb as the evil Sherrif Buck in this excellent thriller set in a typical small town in America).

Oliver Stone's Wild Palms.
At this point, I like to hope that someone will reply, telling me what an idiot I've been, as I've missed the deluxe collectors edition. Anybody? :)
I getting into Enterprise so I would definatley purchase it when it arrives on DVD, whenever it is.
I would love to own Shogun the mini series and my most watched tv tape The crow :stairway to heaven.
Iwould love to get:
Sapphire & Steel (when is it due out on R2?)
Centurions (80's cartoon - power xtreme!)
Werewolf (Little seen 80's horror show - remember it being quite good)
Day of The Triffids (my old vhs copy of this is getting very worn!)
UFO (out soon!!!)
V The Final Battle (Not the dreadful tv series!)
and more Babylon 5!

A few more:
Cold War
Magic Roundabout (original)
Star Trek Animated series
Steptoe & Son (again, not 'best of')
Brass Eye
Friday Night Armistice (poss. too topical but good nonetheless)
The Day Taday
Knowing Me, Knowing You
The One Game
Jungle Ted
27-02-2002, 11:27
I'd like to see:
Our Friends in the North
Porridge Series 2 + Going Straight
Jungle Ted & the Lacy Button Poppers
'orrible
other than the usual suspects that I want like Red Dwarf. I 've remembered some American mini series called Profit about some really evil lawyer moving up in a firm by messing with the lives of his peers. He had a really posh flat but slept in a cardboard box, anyone else remember this? I thought it was great. I'd also consider buying American Gothic if that ever made it out on dvd.

It's definitely about time Blake's 7 saw a DVD release, preferably with the same restoration job that Doctor Who stories are receiving.
V: The Final Battle is bound to see a release now that the original mini-series is coming out. Unfortunately, we'll probably see the sequel TV series as well.
Cheers,Seinfeld and Red Dwarf.

Rumours from ground control see B7 as being a strong possibility/probability within the next 18 months but only if it is a spankingly special edition.
Red Dwarf is in production. Original version only.
Extras for Smallville have just started going through the BBFC.

Murder one - both series 1 and 2
I don't mind whether it's a DVD release or just a repeat, but I'd love to see both seasons of A Very Peculiar Practice again.
