One of my favourite US martial arts flicks is on at 9 on Channel 5. Definately worth setting the video for (or pick up the DVD...)

According to Radio Times it is an 'edited for TV version'. It's on the Sci Fi Channell at least once a month and looks uncut!
Pah, it's the non-DC with the worrying soundtrack
It was also in 4:3 - I cannot watch martial arts movies in this format, they just look terrible!
Anyway it was a great movie which I had never seen before, thanx for tellin us peter! :)

Glad you enjoyed it :D I only briefly saw about 5 minutes of it on Ch 5. Pan and scanned and a 'trimmed' non-directors cut. Get the DVd get the DVD get the DVD....
Saw this last time it was on C5. Have to say I was very disapointed. Not at all what I was expecting.
If you're going to call a movie 'Drive', put some car chases in it :D
can the dir's cut dvd be got for less than £14.99?
I picked it up for £9.99 from my local Blockbuster a while back, not sure if they are still selling it as such a good price tho
Good luck

I've seen Drive in loads of 2 for £20 type offers. The most recent being next to the till in Sainsbury's.

Bensonsworld and Tesco.co.uk have got it for £10.
Alternatively pop down to your nearest V Shop/ Sainsburys/ Blockbuster to get it in a 2 for "0 or 3 for 25 deal :D

Actually, i think Drive was shot in 4:3, so the TV version may show more than the DVD! I haven't seen the TV version, so i couldn't tell you if it actually does though.

I saw the first few minutes and it definitely seemed cropped to me. The bit where he spins off the ship only shows his upper torso, while he's spinning. It's been a while since I watched the DVD, but I'm sure that was a full body shot.:(
