A long shot but......Rootjoose, anyone heard of them?

Been going through my old music tracks and found an album by one of my favourite bands when I was a teenager, Rootjoose. I think it may just be a cornwall thing but this band were ******* awesome. Listening to the album it still makes me sad that thewy never really made it - a couple of top 50 hits but nothing to write home about. Live they were something else. Anyone else have any local bands from their teens that they loved?

Surf rock reef-alikes. One of them was in the next big thing, Kubb.

Yeah Harry, Kubb sucked ass though. I know his brother a little bit. They were waaay before reef though.

I was like 14 or 15 when they were out and place your hands on I was at college or later. I still love the album, but you're right it's very cornish/devon stuff. There's an urban myth that rubarb outsold the spice girls in cornwall, i know it's ******** but still makes me laugh

Being from Devon I remember them as they used to play locally a lot. Didn't like them much personally but they seemed pretty popular
