I found this film very entertaining. To think, people like that actually exist in America. :) The DVD has some superb extras.

I've had this for quite a while now, and have to say that it's one of the few discs in my collection that I absolutely would not part with.

Has anyone visited the website? You can buy signed copies of "Coven", posters, t-shirts and the like - it also has a counter totalling the number of copies sold :)

Mark Borchard has a small part in the Jet Li film 'The One'!!!!

The deleted scenes on the disk has one of the funniest moments in the film (that was left out) featuring Mike Schank- go watch :)

Also - the two have their own TV show in the states now - I'd love to see this.

Have to agree with the above views, very entertainind stuff, at first I thought this was a mockumentary !!!!

(I even looked up "Coven" on IMDB to see if this was "real"!!:D

I have to be honest here, I didn't really enjoy the film that much. I haven't listened to the commentry yet but the film isn't that good

American Movie is a classic! I can't believe its unavailable (?) in this country. Even the commentary is brilliant.


Its okay,its alright,theres something to live for, jesus told me so ,etc:p

One of my most watched discs this, absolutely brilliant.

The number of my friends i've shown it to who take up to half the movie before realising it's not a Christopher Guest style fakery is astonishing.

Every aspect of the DVD for this is a must see, which is one that I have been forcing people to watch for the past 2 or 3 years and it never fails to impress.
It's a pity that he'll probably never get his feature made.:cry:

I went to a Q&A with him & Mark after a screening, and he said he gets all sorts of strange phone calls at various hours of the night - he doesn't answer them all, but sometimes he just picks up to see who's ringing. I seem to remember him mentioning a freaked out conversation with someone from China in the early hours of the morning.....

Maybe someone should give him a call?
