Now I have gone multi region blu, I can get rid of my PS3 which is taking up valid space and not being used.

It is an American original launch model - so not sure exactly what the HDD size is. If someone can enlighten me would be great.

It's in tip top condition and has only been used mainly as a Blu ray player with the (very) occasional gaming session.

It has two games with it, both UK versions Motorstorm 2 and Singstar (with Mics).

It has the backward capacity and Wipeout HD, Fury, and Super Stardust downloaded.

It also has a remote, controller, and official bluetooth headset.

It is not boxed.

What should I be asking for this do you think? Could only find UK models on ebay so no idea what this is worth. Your advice would be appreciated.

I think the US models were 80gb. Also, might be worth mentioning if this is correct, but didn't they have proper hardware based BC, rather than software based on the early Euro PS3s?

Could be a 20gb or 60gb. Both were released in the US at launch, both with hardware backwards compatibility.

The 20gb has no wifi or the multiple card readers on the front flap so should be easy to tell the difference.

The 80gb came later and had software backwards compatibility (USA only but since replaced with an 80GB that has no PS2 emulation, just like the UK 80gb models which don't have ps2 backwards compatibility at all).

How do you go multiregion Blu??
I don't think you can, not on a PS3 at least.

If it was on the PS3 he wouldn't be selling it

Ok yeah - it's the 60GB version with the hardware backwards compatibility.

Ono, I have a Panasonic multiregion BD35 Blu ray player now.

I don't NEED to sell the PS3 but it is also not going to really get any use now.

So how much do people think this might be worth?

Really? Is that all? If that's the case, I'll just keep it.

If you saw what I'd been doing with my PSP (now I've got it online after 2 years trying) and PlayTV you'd think again about selling it. Turning my PS3 into a online PVR/Freeview/media streamer that is contorled by the PSP is FUN FUN FUN! :)

I think Spooky is joking. Having a quick peek at completed ebay listings, it looks like UK 60gb models are selling for around £200+, so I would say a bit less then that (or if you can find someone after a second specifically for region A blu-ray, around the same).

Also it's worth noting that your downloaded games will not work at all if you delete from the PS3 the PSN account/ID that downloaded them. Alternatively if you keep that account on there, make sure your card details aren't remembered.
