Well that's it, I'm out. About 3 minutes of Sci Fi and the rest was pure soap.

I'm so tired of seeing every character driven drama dismissed as soap opera; can't I hate soaps but love character driven sci-fi in peace?

I thought this was decent. The relationships were fleshed out somewhat, but the heavy handed treatment of the doorway metaphor grated somewhat. There's also only so long they can keep us in the dark about the mysterious mystery thing before it gets annoying.

I'll be watching next week at least.

I'm keeping with it for now, although I was one of the few that actually liked the first couple of episodes if the comments on the other thread were anything to go by! Will have to rewatch this episode again as the mission control building looked spookily like the one they use in Eureka!

Mediocre, but mediocre in SPACE. This 'it' had better be good though.

I'm all for character-driven drama, like Lost, but this is all about meaningful glances and schoolyard level stuff (boy meets girl, have fling, decide to stay apart and are thrown together by circumstance). And what was all the stuff about the bet? That was truly cringe-inducing.

Horses for courses, you guys obviously like that kind of stuff but the sci fi is definitely way too incidental in this for my tastes.

I thought that too, probably the same building somewhere in Canada.
