Anybody know if this is coming out? At all?
Deserves a wider audience than it seemed to get at the cinema, and I wanna see it again...
Another great Thora Birch moment.
(wonder how many people looked at that thinking it was about porn? :))

I agree Thora was excellent, a female Damien bitch from hell!, funnily enough, she would practise her stare on various people on set & managed to out stare nearly everyone without laughing!

It's available to pre-order from play247:

I can imagine that lot's of people will be disappointed when they see this as the trailer seemed to portray it as some sort of slasher film which it isn't.

The teaser for the hole was superb, that whole thing with the symptoms caused by staying in the hole intercut with the footage of the teens going through the suffering made me want to see the film like mad....
shame I didnt enjoy it too much though I thought towards the end it began to drag when it became a big whodunnit .
but that Trailer WOW

Blame Pathé for the marketing, no one involved with the movie liked how it was handled (from the studio enforced 15 cert to the trailers) we all thought let the paying audience know it's a hard edged psychological thriller, well it was in it's original cut, not so hard now....
To think all they wanted was another Scream knock off!

I would've been disappointed if it had been a slasher film.
Thoroughly enjoyed it - and if there is a harder-edged cut, why isn't it being released on DVD? :)

You may want to spoilerise the second part of your post Daliah, for those who have not seen the film yet.
But I agree with what you said :)
Pathe are asses! The UK DVD is coming out as an 18 because of the delted scenes, but the movie is still the 15 rated version :(

Hi IanMasc,
Just looked in the FAQ, no sign of how to Spoilerise text, can you mail me details?
Montevideo, It's a loooong story as to why there isn't a longer cut coming out, if you'd like the low down, drop me a line.
Ciao Daliah.

Well, I did wonder if this was the recent Thora Birch movie or the terrific 60s French prison escape story that Criterion have just released on DVD...

I wasn't aware of any UK cuts  any details, according to BBFC running time of 98 minutes and no cuts. Have ordered it from Play but may cancel due to this thread :D

I doubt it, but is the Canadian version the original 18 RATED directors cut, or the tamed 15 rated version relased in the uk in cinemas and on DVD.
Got the DVD today, i was SHOCKED that it was an 18.
the film was a 15, and the only reason it is an 18 is becuase in one of the deleted scenes Thora Birch says a barely un-audiable ******. A bit like Bridget jones....they were gonna make it an 18 with the c word innit, but with it cut out it was a 15.
Upping the certificate because of 1 word is a bit pointless dont you think?
Well why in the blue hell didnt they release the movie fully uncut then?? !!!!
