hi, i am looking to get a 32" FLAT widescreen tv, the cheapest i have found so far is Thomson 32WF25US (http://www.unbeatable.co.uk/default.asp?page=product&sku=313250&shopid=SHOPCBCBIHBFHCABFGIX3868MJLM1705XBWJ5272)
It looks nice enough and its not too bad a make, there is nothing else i can find in this price range (exepct and sharp), so is the thomson tv any good?
any info would be great:clap:
also just found a thomson 32" at empire direct.co.uk looks similar execpt this one has Dolby surround and a stand for an extra £35
not bad!

I would get the one you mentioned from Empire.

A newer model and 100Hz. I'm looking to get this if the problem with my JVC is not resolved.
Buffy Fan - Did you end up buying the Thompon Telly?? If so what do you think of it????
Thanks
YY
I have a thompson 32" wide screen tv which is the prior model to the one you are thinking about.
The main problem I have had with is weird vertical banding on the left of the picture which is visible during dark scenes, to minimise this I have to darken the image untill I cant see it.
I have had 3 different set all with the same problem and was told it is a characteristic of this set.
Hopefully thet have improved the tube since I got mine 2 years ago
I was in comet yesterday and they had a Thompson TV for £849 (It's also on their website). But it looks very different from this model http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/produ...de=THO-32WF45UG Does anyone know which of the two is the newer model?? and what the differences are?
Thanks in advance
YY

Good question. The one at Empire has the Iceberg styling which is the latest range. The comet television appears to have the same specs but different styling. Perhaps it has been specifically produced for comet, thus avoiding having to price match.
