I have a (now fairly aging) set of Kef Egg surround speakers. The Eggs themselves still work fine, but the subwoofer died a while ago.
I've not been too bothered up till now as I'm living in a flat and it would be a bit anti-social to have used it anyway, but I'm going to be moving to a house soon and it would be nice to get my bass back :D
So, is it worth getting the sub fixed, or should I just replace it? I enquired about getting it fixed when it first broke (couple of years ago at least) and Kef reckoned it would cost about 100 quid to fix, assuming it was just a case of replacing the main circuit board. Could I get a decent replacement for that sort of money?
