I'm trying to record from an NTSC SVCD to a Samsung VCR.
When I record in NTSC - the picture is all over the place, when I record in PAL it's ok but I lose 5fps so the film is jerky.
Anyone know of any VCRs that record in NTSC? or any convertors I can use that won't drop the frame rate?

I've got an old multisystem video that records in NTSC, but mono only. Not sure if that's any help. Only accepts phono inputs, one for video, one for audio.

Why not just get a dvdplayer that ouputs ntsc as PAL 50 and record away til your hearts content.

Try the Optim DS-8302 from Makro if they still stock it.

i've just bought a cyberhome 528 - outputs in NTSC / PAL only.
I managed a way round it by recording from the TVOut on my graphics card - didn't look too bad.
Cheers for the advice anyway

So the DVD player isn't being used, it's your PC right?

I was hoping there was a way round it somehow, got NTSC problems myself (see below).

I have a Thomson VTH7090 - if you input in NTSC it records in NTSC perfectly.
