My cheap goodmans tv seems to bend the top inch on picture when i play region 1 ntsc discs.
Any help would be much appreciated.
There`s no easy cure, Its caused by the macrovision copy protection.
Only option is if you can disable the copy protection some how ?

I have experienced similar distortion (of approx 1.5 cm) of anamorphic R1 discs on a Sony 4:3 TV in 16:9 mode.
Can anyone shed any more light on this?

It's definitely macrovision, and most external macrovision removers won't stop it either...
..don't ask me why though - but the above is LOTS of trial and error!
The only solution is to buy/chip a player with macrovision removed..
Thanks for the reply. :)
Bloody Macrovison.

my old TV bent the picture (but only on NTSC) - but my New TV doesn't do it :) - sounds like a cost cutting exercise on PAL sets.
I'm surprised a macro remover doens't help though
