We’re delighted to present today a taster of what’s to come from the new release of The Usual Suspects: Special Edition. MGM Home Entertainment presents the thrilling crime classic on a two disc set on 29 April.

Kevin Spacey, Gabriel Byrne, Kevin Pollack, Benicio Del Torro, Stephen Baldwin and Pete Postlethwaite star in X-Men director Bryan Singer and The Way Of The Gun scribe Christopher McQuarrie’s modern masterpiece.

The two-time Oscar winner is presented in a 2.35:1 anamorphic transfer and DD 5.1. Singer and McQuarrie commentate on one track while composer-editor John Ottman records a second.

There are featurettes called ‘Pursuing The Usual Suspects’, ‘Doin’ Time With The Usual Suspects’, ‘Keyser Soze: Lie Or Legend?’, ‘Introducing The Usual Suspects’, ‘Bryan Singer’s Gag Reel’, ‘Taking Out The Usual Suspects’, ‘Deleted Scenes Hosted By John Ottman’ plus the international trailer, the US trailer introduced by Ottman and eight TV spots rounding things off. All featurettes boast cast and crew interviews with behind the scenes footage and more.

Read our extensive and exclusive review and coverage of this must-buy DVD in issue #37 of DVD Review, on sale 4 April.

Yes, yes, tell us...:D

Tell us what is that "Exclusive R2 Feature". It seems to be the only thing different from the R1 release.

Cheers

Strange that the US release is on 1 disc whilst the R2 is coming on 2 discs!

MGM did the same with This Is Spinal Tap and Fox with Braveheart, but we got no extra features over the R1 editions. AFAIK, it was purely an issue of space due to the PAL formatting that caused them to move some of the features to a second disc.

There were several complaints about R1 Braveheart being too compressed to fit into 1 disc

As anyone seen the R2 cover? It's actually very cool. Don't know which one i like best. They are both great looking.

Cheers, Wolverine

Ps. Any word on that "Exclusive R2 Feature"?
