Does anyone know anything about this TV ? It's on "sale" at sainsbury's for £500 but my mum can get this for £425.I can't find much online and I don't really want to buy it blind.

I've found the manual's on samsungs site but no reviews. £425 sounds like a great price for a 40" 720p tv but does anyone know of a 40 inch of a similar price or is this it?

Are you posting this as a bargain or just want to know more about it. If it is the former then please let us know where this can be got at this price and is it £425 or £500 ?

Actually - Scratch that, it's just quite an old model.

I wouldnt really want to pay £500 for something that only did 720p. I'd rather spend an extra couple of hundred and get a Full 1080p TV seeing as they are coming down in price.

Sorry Alan! Edited it now. It seems like a bargain, unless anyone else knows of a decent 40" LCD for a similar price. I guess I'm asking if it is a bargain (which I think it is) and if it's any good.

Ggrant, maybe I'd pay more for a 1080p set but £425 is her absolute limit, and looking around I couldn't see much more than a 26" tv which will be crap in her living room.

It's only really a bargain for your mum then ;)

Come on camaj ... you've been round these parts to know you can't just set up a squat in bargain town without all the essential where you get it from type information.

without all the essential where you get it from type information.

If you mean initially then I thought I had. If Alan hadn't said anything I wouldn't have know any different.
