Can I unlock my K750i?

Should be done via the provider. If it's out of contract it should just get an unlock.

Strangely my old K750i was unlocked when I upgraded phone. Have you checked for sure that it's not unlocked?

The provider is the best way to unlock it. Be careful about doing it via market traders etc, my wife had hers unlocked on the market and they flashed it with a firmware that had different button assignments so the two menu keys worked differently.

Pretty easy to patch unlock it yourself using the cable that comes with the phone. You can even flash it with a W800i main and file system and turn it into a W800i and then patch unlock it (this is what I did to my K750i). Remember to backup the GDFS if you go down this route.
