Is it possible to remotely access my O2 voicemail from another number? Lost my phone this morning and would like to change the voicemail of that number to say something to that effect!

Many thanks

Ring your mobile, when voicemail kicks in press * and enter your voicemail pin (deafult is 8705) and away you go

Yes, the number is REMOVED. I am not sure if it is something you had to turn on from your phone but when I dial the above I can access my mailbox. Not sure what it does from another phone.

EDIT: Actually not sure now. The above number is what my phone diverts to if busy (basically 901). If you call it from a landline, it's as if that is somebody's number but their phone is switched off, if, however you press the star key whilst the o2 lady is talking, it asks for a PIN. I entered mine and it went through to my mailbox. How they can protect a mailbox by PIN alone is beyond me, maybe there is a virtual number for each customer, I dunno

EDIT2: It looks like they are unique numbers for each customer. This (http://www.filesaveas.com/o2.html) page has info on how to access your voicemail from another line and when you call it, it sends a text to your phone with your access code on so it seems like the answer is "no" if you don't have the original SIM.

Ringing your own number will work, no need to worry about using any other number (I have just rung my own O2 number and it goes to the voice mail menu when pressing * )
