I want to order season 1 and 2 of Sex and the City, but am concerned about the possible customs charges. Play247 and DVDBoxoffice both stock the two season's as follows:

DVDBoxOffice:

Season 1 @ CAD39.95 (~£18)
Season 2 @ CAD53.95 (~£24)

Play247:

Season 1 @ £17.99
Season 2 @ £19.99

As you can see, season 1 from both suppliers falls within the customs limits, but season 2 is over the limit.

My question is, which supplier is most likely to get my goods through without attracting customs charges.

Thanks for any help.

Well i'd go with DVD Boxoffice they have improved there delivery times a lot recently.. titles shipped reach within a week.. also i'ved ordered everything from basic single DVD's - Big DVD boxsets (Nightmare on elm street) to big boxes (PC Computer Games) and never have i had any customs tax..

That's just me - i'ved gone of play now..

play refund any custom charges (apparently) and dvdbo post in in plain jiffys so its not really much of a problem with either.

Although as the UK + US editions of season 1 both have awful cases, I would say get the French edition like I and several other forum members have from Amazon France. But maybe I'm just being picky ;)

I got both series (R1) from Play this week and they both came in seperate jiffys.

Play refund any customs charges (customs charges only happen on their R1 shipment over £18 because they are shipped from Canada and so customs can't be prepaid like they do with their R2 titles)

DVD Boxoffice reship from within the EU (normally france) to avoid you getting any customs charges
