Having seen and bought Requiem For A Dream on DVD recently, I really love this movie so was wondering what Darren Aronovsky's previous film Pi is like because I may buy it on the strength of the director.
Is it any good, is it worth buying and does it stand up to the standard of Requiem?
Cheers
I am not very good at reviews, all I will say is, I liked it very much, more even than Requiem For A Dream. It’s definitely worth a look.
Woh, that was short and to the point.
If you are interested, there is a better review here (http://www.dvdtimes.org.uk./index.cgi?html=y&id=reviews/region2/pi.html)
it's a bit mad, but very good :D all i have to do now is get around to watching Requiem
"pi" is a fascinating mess of a film, full of ideas that explode all over the place without really becoming coherent. It's more than worth seeing though and it's short enough to watch a couple of times in order to elucidate some of the ellipses. I love the ending.

Pi is an excellent film. If you enjoyed Requiem..., you'll probably like this too.
