Has anyone got the DTS version of this film?.
I have the DD one but considering upgrading. I really love David Holmes score and think it would sound better in DTS. However i know that some DTS tracks aren't that much of an improvement.

Is it worth upgrading??

A rare case where the Dolby Digital is non-anamorphic, but the DTS is anamorphic. I would say go for it.

The Region 1 Dolby Digital disc is anamorphic.

The R2 is non-anamorphic. R1 DD5.1 is anamorphic.

R1 DTS is also anamorphic, but lacks any extras though.

I got the impression that the R2 is also reframed or there's something nasty like that about it.

See here (http://www.dvdcompare.org.uk/comparisons/film_results_page.php?fid=375).

I wonder if the DTS is really worth it. If you got the extras too then maybe, but it's not the sort of soundtrack that I'd be bothered about having a DTS track, unless it's at full-bitrate but I doubt it is.

DTS bitrates: the "full-rate" track encoded at 1509.50Kbits per second. A list of DTS sound tracks at

Appreciate the links Drpepper. That first one was very handy. Perhaps it should be incorporated into a sticky or FAQ on the forums. Lots of info there.

Despite OOS being the full bit rate those reviews seem to suggest the DD is the best bet.

Hmm. Looks like i'll stick with it. If i see the DTS version in a bargain bin or something i'll pick it up but i won't go out of my way to get it.

Thanks guys
:)
