Hi - can anyone reccomend some decent fairly inexpensive headphones for use with my Panny plasma, I need them to plug direct into the TV and hopefully be wireless. I have no idea what to look for.
Just I like to watch movies sometimes late at night and as I am considerate to my neighbours / other people sleeping in the house I want some headphones :)
Cheers - also I don't want buds / in the ear.
WHat is your budget? Sennheiser do some excellent wireless headphones but they're over £50.

I am using a pair of £12 wireless headphones. They are a bit hissy when nothing is sent through but while watching something they are fine. They are cheap enough to just try them. The transmitter has a second cable to connect to the headphones for charging.

I was looking not to pay more than £60 tbh. Also they don't have to be wireless, that's just a preferance.

Yeah I might just give them a go, I am not an audiophile by any stretch of the imagination.

Apparantly, the hissing can be stopped by raising the volume on the TV and reducing the volume on the headphones. I use a AV amp so I can't do that. The volume only goes up so far and stays the same.
The transmitter will need a mains socket.

As Allan mentioned, £20 above your limit but if you can't find what you want and can splash out a bit more, check out the Sennheiser RS130 (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=8&url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00080O0SA/thedvdforums-21) - have had some of these for almost a year now and they're awesome.
They're pretty big size-wise but not heavy and I often wear them for hours at a time without them feeling uncomfortable. I've read that they're amongst the best sound you can get for wireless cans under a £100. But just remember if you're used to the sound quality of wired headphones, wireless is generally nowhere near as good - you just can't get the range and deep bass due to the wireless transmission and lower power.
Actually just noticed you mention they don't have to be wireless - for your budget I would go for some wired ones - you'll be able to get some decent quality for that price. Something like these (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=8&url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0007QN180/thedvdforums-21) would be way better sound quality than a cheap wireless set.
PS don't forget to get a long wire extension!
