And if he is will CSI:Miami be the same without him? Hopefully all will be revealed tonight. (For those of us following the UK schedules anyway.)

Surely, whatever you think of Caruso's acting ability, Horatio Caine is a character painted larger and richer by the bizarre idiosyncrasies Caruso brings to the role.

And why don't we have a smiley who removes his sunglasses to emphasise a point?

Hopefully Yes, the only thing Caruso brings to any role is woodworm

Don't watch it myself, but that strikes me as a bit of a spoiler?

Hugely so.

Spoiler ?
Hardly. Especially given the trailers they've been putting out.
Anyway you don't watch CSI:Miami for the plot lines so much as the
comedy moments of Horatio looking over his glasses and making ridiculous
remarks or casually walking away from an SUV before it explodes in a ball of flame :D
It's another of those we've got bored with this whole storyline so we'll tidy it up at the start of the next series type episodes. They did it with CSI in the latest series too when you think they'd string it out for a couple of episodes.
The Horatio Caine comedy moments are all that keep this going especially since Calleigh has laid off the some women have sex toys I have a gun safe tendencies .
They seem to have an unhealthy tendency to view the dubious cuban exile community as victims and good guys :oh-hum: Did no one see Scarface ?

Haven't watched much CSI:Miami but the trailer did enough to entice me to watch it. Wish I didn't bother....even when CSI Las Vagas has been poor (which has been a lot this last series), it is still far superior to this spin off where the production values are low and the cheesy / unbelievable effects are aplenty.

I am getting fed up of the Caleigh/Delko love story bit, the eternal Wolf is getting into trouble routine and the everyone wants to kill H off but never seems to hit him. Best bit when they find a bomb with 4 minutes to go and he manages to get out of a busy city and still have time to take his sunglasses off before the car blows up.

Hugely so.

Not sure why the fact that Caine had been shot should be a spoiler, surely only a spoiler if there was an indication of his fate in the title or the post. And as has been said Channel 5 have been advertising this for weeks on TV and on their website as "Who shot Horatio Caine?"

As the title of the thread has already been changed I guess I will just agree to disagree with the mods on this one.

Anyway, what an anti-climactic cop out. Time for these guys to give it up, LV is by far the better series.

Just because you have watched Channel 5 advertising this for weeks on TV and have been to their website for further information about the programme doesn't mean everyone else has done the same thing. That's the reason for spoiler tags, don't assume everyone follows your schedule.

He was shot at the end of the last series not the beginning of this one except in a number of action replays. Had multiple shots of different possible suspects with "its done" messages on their mobile phones leaving it as a cliff hanger.

I'm actually preferring NY over LV at the moment.

The episode title in Digiguide was Resurrection so i didn't even bother to tune in. To be honest to make it watchable they'd have to have a mass cull Horatio, the Cuban bloke and the annoying one that got shot in the eye.

I'd forgotten just how **** this show is.

Yet somehow I know I'll keep watching it...

Feels appropriate to post this link again:

Anyone still watching this? caught some of the one on 5 tonight after Vegas and they had a full on break with reality with a murder on board a commercial space flight. What the hell?

CSI: Miami is utterly ridiculous, which is why i like it.

its a repeat (new series starts when CSI vegas and new york are done).

i watch depending on the subject. if its russian mafia type stories, i don't bother. about 50% of episodes sound interesting though. I remember one with some gun that disintergrates people :D

Its fun to watch but it is the CSI most out of touch with reality.

Half of the computer systems they use im not even sure exist and even if they do way beyond the budget of a police department.

Oh and half of the people wear white even when they are in the dirtiest places and still come out clean.

I probably hadn't watched it since my previous post but i don't remember anything from back then that made me think they were completely nuts.

That really exists. See Metal Storm (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metal_Storm). Caused a storm of controversy as people fantasized about what it would do to soldiers. Not much use in that context given reloading is a bit tricky.
All the CSIs are moderately surreal as they're not actually meant to go into situations with guns, every team has folks with severe issues and as observed the tea party would be up in arms over the waste of tax payers money.

its the magic pc's that resolve the most tiny detail and do any or all experiments that make me laugh.

or the experiments (fingerprint 8000 coins) that would take days but for them, a few hours.

I can put up with all the magic computer, pixel zooming, fancy mass spec stuff but the way they put just one single tube into a centrifuge gets me mad. When I try that at work it makes a horrible grinding noise as it is unbalanced.
