I'm trying to Region Free a friend's GDV230. I tried the 210 hack (press opne/close, stop, skip FF for 3 seconds, etc) - NO JOY.

I tried the older Proline hack 0 1 2 3 PLAY. NO JOY.

Google Search returns no useful info.

Is this player remote hackable?

You could try using one of the hacks for the Goodmans players. I used one on a Grundig GDV130 , for a mate, which worked.(the Grundig GDV130 hack did not work?).

Also, have you tried the 130 hack on the 230.
