I can remember Michael Brooke going on about this Swedish gem plus it featured in several peoples 'film of the year' thread so I just had to buy it when I saw it in the HMV 2 for £25 sale :D

Superb film and a real keeper

Whilst it is a 'laugh out loud' film in places it is really a great trip through the lives of a 70s hippy family commune based in one little house in Sweden. All of the characters are actively involved and add their parts to the overall story.

We really enjoyed it and are looking forward to a repeat viewing especially with friends. Lots of messages if you want them but quite simply a great ~2hr ride and my favourite end to a flim in a long while :)

Go get it!

I agree, it is indeed an excellent film. Apparently BBC Four will be showing it soon after their re-launch, for those who don't want to shell out for the DVD. I also loved Lukas Moodysson's earlier film, Show Me Love (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0150662), which I caught on Film Four recently - a superior teenage angst film that was a massive hit in its native Sweden.

Yeah I fancy that one as well - any ideas on the best place to pick it up?

Don't know mate - I don't have it on DVD. It's out on R1 and is supposed to be coming out sometime on R2 (from Momentum according to DVD Times (http://www.dvdtimes.org.uk/index.cgi?page=News&id=1186)). I haven't seen a review of the R1 - perhaps Michael Brooke will be able to shed some light on the subject if he is around!

Phil.

I'm confused now. I was referring to Show Me Love in my last post, not Together.
