i know the r1 version contains a Karaoke version of five songs from the soundtrack: Hold Me Now, Do You Really Want to Hurt Me, Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, Rappers Delight and White Wedding,

but does this include the music videos to these songs aswell?

This film gets funnier everytime i see it and the r1 version looks alot better than the r2

hiya,

unfortunately no videos, just a static picture frame which changes occasionaly showing scenes from that part of the film. Below are the words in true karaoke fashion.. the backing track plays, and you have the option to liten with vocals or without. It's an okay feature, i myself can't sing for crap so littel use for me.. but if it interests you then probably go for the R1.. otherwise i wouldn't say the extra features are particularaly worthwhile.

advantage of the R1 :

-- Full screen version also, which is good if you have a 4:3 telly, i mean you aren't missing anything in a crop really with this film. I watch it in 4:3 and it probably looks better!!! They actually make these films in mind for the home market, so composition sometimes better suits the 4:3 format.

that's about it, if i had a widescreen TV i'd have probably gone for the R2, due to better PAL picture quality, and the fact it's not a snapper, plus can be picked up really cheaply. But you can't beat the overall presentation of a New Line disc, snapper or no snapper (personaly snappers don't bother me that much!)

hope i'm some help :)

I bought the R1 after the DVD Times review of the R2 version stated that the transfer was terrible, see below:

I received my R1 from Absound and was surprised that it was an amaray and not a snapper as I had expected.
