Orange PAYG Not Working Abroad - Help Please

Hi,

My mum in in Tanzania at the moment (east africa) and her orange payg sim won't connect to any of the local networks.

The handset is a nokia 6300, she is on voda contract and my dad is on orange contract and both have been able to join the local networks (roaming).

Whenever she tries the payg orange sim it says something along the lines of 'access not possible' when trying to manually join any tanzanian network.

I rang orange and they say that all their payg chips are already set up to roam automatically and she confirmed that the payg account had enough balance to make/receive calls.

If anyone has any ideas of other things we could try to get this payg chip working it would be greatly appreciated.

Doesn't it depends on the arrangements Orange has with the Tanzanian networks? It might just be that none of the networks accept Orange PAYG.

My Orange PAYG works fine in most countries I've travelled to, but I seem to recall it not working at all in one country (might have been Spain?) while my business Orange contract SIM worked fine.
