Hi folks,

I need to pay a company in Germany about EUR90 and they have supplied me with a set of international account payment details (Swift number, Iban number, etc) and I am not quite sure of the best way to pay them. They don't seem to be able to accept payment by any other means.

One of the banks I use is Barclays and they have a page here that covers the topic but it seems to say that they charge £20 to make the payment:
http://www.business.barclays.co.uk/BRC1/jsp/brccontrol?task=articlegroup&site=bbb&value=4309&menu=3769

That seems pretty steep for a payment of this size. Surely there must be some other cheaper way to pay this amount? Does anyone know of any online services that will do a one-off payment for you?

Thanks

Doubt you'll find anything to be honest.
EU regulations surrounding wire transfers are very strict and transfers to company/personal accounts must be identified.

Not much help but halifax charge £9.50 for the same type of payment. It may be worth phoning Barclays and asking how much they will charge you, as that page seems to refer to business banking.

I used to use moneybookers or tranzfers (.com?) to make international payments. They charge a % rather than a flat rate i think so makes it a bit more reasonable if you're only paying small amounts.

Thanks for the suggestions folks, I'll look into those.

Cheers!
