Not that anyone cares about Heroes anymore but according to Michael Ausiello...
This just in: Bryan Fuller exits 'Heroes' (http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/06/this-just-in-bryan-fuller-exits-heroes.html)

Bryan Fuller has vacated his post as consulting producer.

The acclaimed Pushing Daisies auteur tells me that he left to focus on developing new projects for NBC, and not (as some have speculated) due to creative differences with series creator Tim Kring.

Another nail in the coffin of this once mighty show then! :oh-hum:

Oh dear. I am debating giving this up as I really haven't been enjoying it that much, but the Brian Fuller involvement was giving me hope as I really enjoyed his S3 episode (Cold Snap I think?) The only way I can see me watching it now is if there's really good word of mouth or it's on iplayer and I'm bored! (I'm not even sure if the BBC have the broadcasting rights for S4, but hypothetically speaking.)

last season of heroes then ...

Oh dear, I now expect S4 of Heroes to be on par with the recent S4 of Prison Break. :|

I've got the last two episodes of s3 sat on my sky+ box and i really can't be arsed to watch.

That's not a good sign is it.

I've still got about 5 episodes on my V+ box and am in the sme boat as you. Between this and prison break I've not got a lot of space for anything else

When Bryan re-joined Heroes I thought it was a step in the right direction and I was looking forward to see where they went with S4. Now after reading he's left I have a feeling that this season will most likely be the last for Heroes.

Another one with a few episodes left to watch and just can't be arsed.

It's rare I give up on a series but the last one was Prison Break with which Heroes shares quite a few similarities: 1st 6 or 7 episodes were amazing, rest of series 1 very good, series 2 bit dodgy but stick with it to see where it goes, series 3 gash.

Creative differences with Kring. Didn't know Kring had any creativity to differ with!

Am currently watching WOlverine and the X-Men (about 8 eps in on BBC2), and am hoping it turns out better than Heroes Season 3, just to be ironic, beat by a kids cartoon, its possible!

There were a couple of good standalone eps in season 3, but like everybody else jsut got tired of it, and was only watching it because of my love of Heroes from earlier seasons by the end, and it really did limp out, even the finale was dull.

Well the Justice League Unlimited cartoon is better than Heroes 1,2 and 3.

Heh, that's so true! And Prison Break was the last thing I gave up as well (in fact, it's the only thing I can remember giving up out of all the programmes I've watched as they were aired.)

I was in the position of having the last couple of episodes to watch but couldn't be bothered a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't worth the effort to be honest!

Not seen that one, the wolverine one just seemed to have thematic similarities, people with special powers being hunted down by the government and a nihilistic future they want to avoid (always a Heroes favourite)

Ha, I stopped watching Heroes early into Season 3 because well...it was crap. But then Fuller got back on board and said this With "Villains," it started out interesting and then became about formula. When they started talking about how we were injected with our powers and it became sci-fi ghetto storytelling, I became disconnected. Mohinder went from a noble scientist to being a mad scientist with Jeff Goldblum hair and wardrobe. Claire became so strident and unlikable because she was just whining, bitching and holding a gun. I was just concerned the wheel had been jerked so sharply in the wrong direction with what had worked about the first season, which was ordinary people with extraordinary powers. Everything ordinary about their lives went out the window, and everything was extraordinary. That was my frustration.

...and I thought well the show could get interesting again. Obviously thats not going to be the case, and whatever potentially interesting ideas Fuller had are now out of the Window. Though it is entirely plausible he left them a "Roadmap" for the Season, but Kring will find a way to ruin that.

season 4 looks like it will be the year 4 we saw in the first season.

what happened to the pandemic and where is scarface pete? we need to see that come to fruition. hiro has to become the badass warrior and clair has to hunt down peter. or some balls like that. it never made much sense, anyway.

Finally got round to watching the last four eps that had been taking up space on my sky box to make room for some Glasto coverage and WTF? dashed my hopes that they would pull something out the bag for this show.
Such a crap ending, totally ignoring things that have been done in the past and could have been done again (blood) so that they could finally feed Sylar through a sausage making machine and have done with it. Don't care where he's moved his sweet spot there would be no coming back from that, trouble is that he's the only really interesting character in the bunch any more.

Such a terrible waste of the promise shown by the 1st series imo, they've just written out or just never re-referenced so many people and situations it beggars belief. And the final episode - we're supposed to accept the fact that despite having an entire government department set up to hunt them down they have conveniently managed to get it shut down and put the genie back in the bottle and just got back to living their lives? :oh-hum:

And yet i will watch it next time round, because i'm an idiot, had the good sense to get out of Prison Break at the end of the 1st series though

Looks like the writers are already coming up with desperate solutions to get the audience back.

Apparently Cheerleader Claire is off to college in S4 & will indulge in lesbian experimentation with her hot female room-mate.

The show may suck, but i'll be there! in glorious HD. :D

Like they'll do anything other than a "sweeps kiss" in November! In theory Claire could get up to all sorts including violent vaginal fisting and not be any the worse for wear. Maybe they'll even answer the rehymenation question?!

from Ask Ausiello:
Question: Is it true that Claire on Heroes is going to have a romantic relationship with Rachel Melvin's new character, Annie? --Elizabeth
Ausiello: That's true. Kind of. I'm not sure about a full-blown relationship, but I can confirm that the college roomies will engage in a little sapphic experimentation. At least that's the plan.

A trailer for Heroes season 4 has been released, the three minute trailer is slightly different to the version that was screened at Comic-Con last weekend. The trailer has scenes from the premiere and the next couple additional episodes. Be aware it does contain spoilers - a character or two looks like they’re getting killed. Also in this clip you can see scenes of Robert Knepper (Prison Break’s T-Bag) leading the dark carnival that’s gathering up heroes for some nefarious purpose and we also get a first look at Hayden Panettiere’s new lesbian love interest :n0rty:

You can view the trailer here (http://www.blogomatic3000.com/?p=3380).

After that awful season I don't think I can bring myself to watch this. Nothing in the trailer made me want to watch apart from the dirty minx from Californication getting it on with Claire Bear.

Boink!

I've got the whole of series 3 that I can't be bothered to watch...
Hell, I watched all of Day Break, United States of Tara and Smallville instead of bothering with Heroes.

That was one dull trailer.

Somebody wake me up for the lesbian porn fest episode.

I'm guessing second week or third week in November for that 2 second lip lock! ;)

Trailer isn't anything very interesting is it. Looks like another tedious volume. I hope I am wrong though. The "new" ideas are nicked wholesale from Ray Bradbury (from 'Something Wicked This Way Comes' and 'The Illustrated Man').

Now we know they are scraping the barrel for ratings.. To get more viewers just add hinted lesbianism..

oh god, they better make her less annoying in this then. Have to agree with the above comments though, trotting out the promise of the lesbianism this early on certainly stinks of desperation on the show runners part

Had such high hopes after S1 as well, sadness

I fully expect Peter or Nathan to fly over a shark (or shark powered person) in this new series.

I think the shark got jumped before season 1 ended.
