The UK 2-disc set has been postponed with no known release date. All we're getting is the single disc release for the foreseeable future.

Although personally I think Momentum are doing an 'O Brother Where Art Thou?' on us.

I must be living in a different UK if someone thinks this country is good for DVD fans. Either that or some kind of mind altering medicine is involved to make you think that way. As to this announcement, let's cut through the hysterical thread title. The quote from the DVD Times site is:

"Sadly, these releases are also Canadian exclusives and due to Miramax (who distribute in Canada via Alliance-Atlantis) owning the R1 English language rights there will be NO English Subtitles on these releases, instead we have to wait for a Miramax release of which there is no word of."

What is the point of releasing a disc that only has one conceivable market in Canada? i.e. the province of Quebec (the most nationalistic, xenophobic, lunatics ever known to man)

The R1 disc will no doubt appear after the Oscars so the marketing men can put some extra graphics on the cover assuming Amelie wins an Oscar or two. The real R1 release is a few months off.

Lol you misunderstand, I'm talking about choice, multi region DVD players, PAL/NTSC compatibility, etc

Importing is dead easy, good prices
We pick and choose the best!
