Can anyone tell me how many episodes there are to this anime series? I have checked the DVD Box Office, and DC-DVD, both these sites list 4 volumes, each with 4 episodes. Making a total of 16. However I have heard a somethings about an episode 20, 21 and 22.

Can someone please confirm for me please?

Lain is actually a 13episode series, with the episodes split 4/3/3/3 over the 4 discs..

if you're thinking of buying grab the R4 discs and save yourself a packet ;)

The set I have has 13 episodes.
Disk 1 has 4 and Disks 2-4 have 3 each.

Where did you hear about episodes 20-22 ?

I heard from some people on some other forums I occasionally vist. Obviously they were wrong.

So where is the best place to buy the R4 discs?

I have just been reading the review over @ Bulletsnbabes (http://www.bulletsnbabesdvds.com/article.php?sid=680) and it does look rather good.

The oz etailer familyboxoffice has it cheapest for under 12squid delivered.
R1 boxset is available for UK£60 from DVDPlanet (got these prices from dvdpricecheck (http://www.*********************/zdvdresults.php?session=84babe5ba8d466e0230cb7412583d79d)

Who here has seen it then.
I'm very tempted to get the first disc, but it's part of long list of "to gets".

The Lain set was one of the first dvd's I bought (r1) after getting my player. Its weird, in a good way... actually, tbh, I saw every episode back in 99/2000 but still don't quite get the ending... I saw the first 3 episodes again a couple months back but didn't finish it, I find that I have to be in the 'mood' to watch a series like lain.

As DeVoteD are having a free shipping weekend, they can be had for around 10squid each, so I am very much considering a purchase.
Do you think it would have "re-watch" appeal, or should I just spend that dosh on a few good films.
Something about this title has got me really interested though.
