View Full Version : Videogame Nation: Urbis, Manchester
Looks like a good little exhibition and some good guest speakers (http://www.urbis.org.uk/page.asp?id=3332) coming too
I wish I'd have known about the Jon Hare event. Shame it was last weekend. :(
Might go to the Manic Miner one. :D

Going to the Dizzy one next week at my other half's insistence.
Took my kids to see this yesterday...it was for THEIR enjoyment, not mine...honest :suspect:
Spent a good couple of hours there and would have been longer but the place was closing for the day. Not a huge exhibition but plenty to see and do to while away a fair amount of time.
Was funny to see my game obsessed Son (9) struggle with the older games (Jet Set Willy, etc...) and yet fly through the newer ones.
There were no queues and it was easy to have a go on everything....old arcade games, spectrum, PS1, PS2, DS, PSP, 360, PS3.
I'd recommended it to anyone thats ever in Manchester with time to spare, and I'll definitely go again...for the kids enjoyment of course ;)

Damn, bit of a trek. If this was in London I'ld be there no problem.

Didn't realise David Braben was giving a talk. I'll be going to that too.
I'd like to go to the David Braben one as well.

One of these talks might make for a decent DVDF forum meet...
....and DVDF game challenge as well :D
